Three Steps To Heaven

'Three Steps To Heaven' was one of the first cover-versions that SWW released and was a great success. The b-side of all of the releases that I know of is 'The Party', taken from the yellow album. In fact, it tells us on the b-side that 'The Party' is from 'The Dejamus Productions Film "Three For All"'.

This is the UK demo release of Three Steps To Heaven, again in the usual Bell silver paper label format.

Some SWW records were released in the USA but never charted. This is the USA demo of Three Steps and is in the Arista company sleeve. Bell were incorporated into Arista in 1975, and in 1976 the Bell name was to be swallowed up for good until a brief emergence again in 1981. The would have been one of the first SWW records to come out under the Arista banner.

Later, I understand Arista reissued some early Bell SWW singles under the Arista banner. I can't see this coming out in 1975, as Hey Rock And Roll from 1974 was also released as an Arista record, but Arista didn't come into existance until 1975.
The label shown above is the 'Arista Blue Plastic' label and was typical of most of Showaddywaddy's Arista releases up until 1981. Variations of the Arista label can be seen on other 'record covers' pages.
